What does AI think about AI?

It's Monday and pink lovers might have some beef with the new Barbie movie. The Greta Gerwig-directed film reportedly used so much pink paint that it caused an “international shortage.”
LET’S GET CHATTY
ChatGPT is cool with the rise of AI. Do creators and viewers feel the same way?
AI is having a moment. In recent months, tech companies have rushed to release AI features, platforms like Snapchat and TikTok have introduced virtual assistants, and ChatGPT has become a go-to tool for everything from writing legal briefs to generating personality quizzes.
Unsurprisingly, AI is excited about the rise of AI.
OpenAI‘s ChatGPT bot discussed its own ascendance in the latest episode of Wired‘s Autocomplete Interview series. Through a text-to-speech transcription, the AI assistant pointed out some of the positive effects its rise to prominence could have on the job market:
“ChatGPT and other artificial intelligence systems have the potential to automate certain tasks and replace some jobs in the future. However, it’s important to note that AI is not a replacement for all jobs and will likely create new opportunities and job roles in fields related to AI development and implementation.”
So, we know what one chatbot has to say about AI. But what are creators’ thoughts on the rise of artificial intelligence?
A recent study published by Lightricks in partnership with YouGov asked 1,000 aspiring and professional creators to weigh in on the ways AI could enhance (or detract from) their creative careers. Here’s the consensus:
71% of respondents said that their followers have reacted positively to AI-driven content 😃
74% of respondents named potential deepfakes as their biggest AI-related concern 👎

DEFEND THE DAMN TOWER
Rush Royale players can now “defend the damn tower” as creator-slash-boxer Jake Paul
Earlier this year, fans of creator and pro wrestler Logan Paul got a chance to play as their favorite influencer in the latest WWE 2K title. Now, the younger Paul brother is making his own mark on the video game world—as a playable avatar in Rush Royale.
The tower defense mobile game was published by Dutch company My.Games in 2020 and has since established itself as the #1 game in its genre (per data.ai). Rush Royale’s audience is nothing to sneeze at, even for a creator with a media empire as impressive as Jake Paul’s. In April alone, the game reached 1.1 million daily active users.
Those stats could rise even further with the arrival of Jake Paul’s character.
Rush Royale players can unlock the influencer’s avatar—which includes voice lines and special moves like “hype” and “energy PR”—by competing in “The Champion Rumble.” Paul himself encouraged players to “defend the damn tower” with those limited-edition skills in a video shared on the Rush Royale Twitter account.
Fans hoping to rise to the influencer’s challenge will want to pull out their phones ASAP. According to Rush Royale, the Champion Rumble will only be available until July 29.
